April was a frustrating month for me…bogged down with fatigue and medication side effects…but I persevered with my art projects and spring finally arrived. You can see the individual pictures here.
I spent a lovely afternoon at Hylands today. There was a family event on (a dragon hunt) so lots of people and activity, plus the sun was out. I also met a 13 week old puppy called Bomber (see below), and I really wanted to take him home with me. Here are some pictures (scanned), taken with the Fujifilm Instax Mini 25.
I have been rather tired lately due to my medications so I’ve not been able to get out much, or at least anywhere that warrants taking photographs. Instead I’ve kept myself busy with various art projects – collaging has been one of these projects and I have been preoccupied with making little flower type ones for cards, which I thought I’d share with you today.
I was very excited to find out that there was going to be another Big Egg Hunt this year. The first Big Egg Hunt was last year and it took place in London, where over 200 decorated eggs were scattered across the city (you can see some of my photographs from last year on the Click Collective blog). This time, 101 decorated eggs would be travelling across the UK, starting in Covent Garden, London, then Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester, Glasgow, and then back down to London. I wasn’t able to follow them all over the country, but I did manage to see them in Covent Garden (twice) and Liverpool.
I have never seen myself as an artist in the traditional sense of the word, but I have always enjoyed playing around with pens and paint, especially at school and then when my children were small. Although I’ve never really stopped making things, since last Christmas, I have increasingly been incorporating some form of “artwork” into my daily life.
