I have been having a lot of fun recently with my latest obsession…stamp carving…essentially it involves making your own rubber stamps, using a lino cutter and carving blocks.
I’m part way through an online stamp carving class taught by Julie Fei-Fan Balzer: Stamp Carving 101. Julie has such a lovely relaxed teaching style. I’m using Speedball lino cutters and Speedball Speedy-carve, as well as white erasers, to create the rubber stamps. I then glue them onto wood blocks, because I find this makes it easier to hold them when printing.
