Regent’s Canal Walk, Part 2

After enjoying our first canal walk a couple of weeks ago, we embarked on a new one yesterday, starting from Camden Road station and following the towpath from Camden Lock Market. We used the Jubilee Greenway route guide from Transport for London (Section 3) as our reference, which takes you through Camden, King’s Cross, Barnsbury, Islington, Hackney and Bethnal Green.

Regent’s Canal Walk, Part 1

Gosh, it has been absolutely ages since I have written a post on here! I have no excuses, just life! Anyhow, this post is about a trip on Saturday we did to a part of London we had never been to before. The Regent’s Canal Walk, as part of the Jubilee Greenway, takes you through Little Venice, past Regent’s Park and London Zoo, finishing at Camden Town.

Unfortunately, we didn’t quite complete this walk, because one of my sandals started to fall apart as we were going past Regent’s Park, so we did a detour that involved meandering around Primrose Hill, before getting to Chalk Farm tube station to go home.

GoGo Dragons in Norwich

A few weeks ago, we went to Norwich for the day to find some dragons…GoGo Dragons, to be exact…there are 84 of these art sculptures across the city. Obviously, we weren’t able to see all of them, but we managed a good number…38!

Art Abandonment

Over the last couple of months, I’ve been participating in a project which involves abandoning your art in random public places. I came across the project at the end of last year and promised myself I would have a go at this as soon as I could in 2014.

100 Happy Days

I am taking part in the 100 Happy Days project. I’m taking a “happy” photo each day, with my iPhone or iPad, for a consecutive 100 days…my definition of “happy” may differ from yours, but that’s okay, and it covers a wide range, from having a fabulous day out to just being able to have a nap in the afternoon! My photos are being posted on Instagram and Facebook, and also here. I’m finding it quite therapeutic to do, as there is always something to feel good about or just smile at, even if the whole day is horrible!

365 Project – December

Wow, I did it – a whole 365 just using my iPad and iPhone! December was a tough month but I did lots of art, my eldest came home for the holidays and I saw my best friend before the year ended. You can see the individual images here.
