Klimt Inspired Girls

Recently I have been creating some artwork inspired by one of my favourite artists, Gustav Klimt. Some of these will be available as prints in the near future.

Meet the Artist

I’m Amanda…I rediscovered art about 5 years ago, a year after being diagnosed with advanced cancer. I love working with watercolour and pen, and my style is more illustrative than painterly. I draw everything and anything. Recently I have got back into digital art, using an iPad Pro. I have an Etsy Shop where I sell small pieces of original art and handmade cards. Note: it is very rare to see a photo of me!

Playing with Procreate

I treated myself to an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil for Christmas. One of the apps I was keen to use was Procreate, a digital painting app designed specifically for the iPad Pro.

Watercolour Sketchbook

It’s been a while since I’ve done a blog post, mostly because I have been rather obsessed with painting watercolours. In the past I have been a little scared of watercolour paints, because they can be unpredictable and it can be difficult to correct mistakes. However, I love the look of watercolours, especially with pen or ink, and I’ve been inspired by Alisa Burke who runs an online watercolour class.
